ABR screening and/or OAE screening?

Should we do all neonatal screening with both OAE and ABR(automated or otherwise)?
Isn't it more practical to screen with ABR and use OAE screening ONLY if ABR shows no responses?(so that we may identify Auditory neuropathy/auditory dyssynchrony cases)

To make sure that infants with AN/AD are identified, it is exact that screening with ABRs followed by OAEs (when the ABRs show no response) is the way to go if you don’t have the time/money to use a combination ABRs/OAEs.
But keep in mind that presence of a normal ABR at moderate-high intensities doesn’t rule out a mild (high-frequency) hearing loss that could be only detected with OAEs.
